Part 5 The Whiffler Road Machines
The Early GEI Years (1976 to 1996)
Other Machines
With the established development centre at Whiffler Rd,  Auto-Wrappers was able to design and produce a larger range of machines that covered other styles of packaging, Feeding, cartoning, and filling, even venturing briefly into the "vertical form fill and seal",  bagging style of machines called the Econo Line.
The Auto-Wrappers Verso Load, a carton erector and loading system.
Below shows the process of wrapping Rolaids, firstly the tablets are wrapped in a roll using the super 2000 Roll wrapper, then the carton is formed and the products loaded into the carton using a verso Load, and then the carton is cellophane wrapped using a Verso-Wrap machine .

With customers installing larger and faster production lines , new feeding systems to supply product to  the flow- wrappers were developed, The ADS ( Automatic Distribution System ) became the best way to feed multiple flow-wrappers from a single production line
With faster flow-wrappers came the requirement for faster cartoning and loading systems. The CBR cartoner was originally developed to work alongside the Super 2000 Roll Wrappers, but was then adapted  to work with flow-wrapped products  as well.
